Biography
Tamara
studied with Auntie
Margaret in 1973 and apprenticed with her until
she received her license from the State of Hawaii in September of
1974. There was no formal school then, and Tamara feels honored to
have worked one on one with Auntie in order to learn this wonderful
healing art.
In 1986 Tamara moved to California from Hawaii and worked at
the Radisson River Ridge, home of the L.A. Raiders summer training
camp. For 8 years, some of the most respected names in football came
to experience Lomi Lomi, a massage technique most of them had never
heard of, but quickly learned to appreciate. Tamara's years at the
Radisson resulted in building a community awareness of Lomi Lomi
and in 1994 she became a California state certified Lomi Lomi massage
instructor. In July of 2000 she had the honor of writing the cover
story for Massage Magazine. She is also the co-creator of three instructional
videos, professionally produced by Bodywork Emporium. Tamara travels
worldwide teaching and sharing this ancient
healing
art, as well as offering private ho'oponopono sessions in San Luis Obispo county.
Greetings from Tamara ...
